A calm, confidential space to slow down & be honest.

"I offer a warm, confidential space to think things through - to make sense of what’s weighing on you, at a pace that feels right for you."

Calm forest path representing journey and peace
Counsellor Portrait

Hello, I'm glad you're here.

My path here wasn’t a straight line. Alongside a long career in corporate communications - work I still do - I trained as a counsellor after realising I was drawn less to writing about people’s experiences and more to sitting with them directly.

Before training as a counsellor, I spent 30 years in the corporate world. Because I still work in that world myself, I understand the particular pressures of professional life - the stress, the burnout, and the heavy weight of always having to hold things together. I understand how much strength it takes to say the honest thing out loud, and I bring that same care for clear, human communication into the therapy room.

I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling at the University of Aberdeen, followed by a Diploma in Couples Therapy with Relationships Scotland, and I am a registered member of the BACP.

While at university, I volunteered with Nightline, the confidential listening service run for and by students - an early sign, looking back, of where my interest always lay. Today, I remain in ongoing clinical supervision, as good practice requires, ensuring that everything shared with me stays in strict confidence.

Ways We Can Work Together

I see clients both in person in Aberdeen and online, offering sessions tailored to what you need right now.

Individual Counselling

I offer individuals a confidential space to talk - at your own pace, with no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. I am trained in person-centred counselling, which means the sessions are led by what matters to you, not a fixed structure. I listen closely, without judgement, and help you make sense of what you’re feeling. Over time, that tends to bring more clarity, and more trust in your own judgement.

  • Anxiety, low mood, & low self-esteem
  • Navigating grief and loss
  • Managing career stress and burnout

Couples Therapy

For couples, I offer a balanced space to work through what’s brought you here - a specific difficulty, a loss of connection, or wanting to understand each other better. My couples training is integrative, drawing on different therapeutic models to fit what each couple needs. I won’t take sides, and I won’t push either of you further or faster than feels comfortable. My job is to help you both slow down enough to actually hear one another.

  • Rebuilding communication
  • Navigating infidelity
  • Adjusting to parenthood or empty-nesting

My Approach

Therapy isn't about giving you a rigid set of rules. It's about providing the right environment for you to find your own clarity.

Person-Centred

Our sessions are led by what matters to you. I listen closely, without judgement, helping you make sense of your feelings.

No Fixed Script

You don't need the right words ready before we meet. You can arrive exactly as you are, and we'll take it from there.
